Did you know that the largest user on the internet is blind? Google, and other search engines, cannot see the page as a regular user would be able to view a page. Pages need to be created in a way that if a blind person were to visit the site it would be easy to navigate.
Many developers still use tables to layout pages. While this makes the page appear consistently, there are other ways of achieving a common look and feel. Using tables for anything other than tabular data makes it difficult for a search engine to find what is listed on the site. Therefore, we don't use table-based layouts, instead using a CSS-based fluid approach.
